Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we may collect when you use the Poker Copilot website, the Poker Copilot desktop app and the SharkScope Desktop app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. In this policy "we" and "us" means CJM Solutions, LLC, the maker of Poker Copilot.
The short version
- We collect the information we need to sell you a licence, keep the app working, answer your questions and fix problems.
- The desktop app sends us technical and usage information, and some reports can include poker hand histories.
- We share information only with companies that help us run the service, such as payment, hosting and email providers.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us
- When you buy a licence: your name, email address, user name and, for some payment methods, your country. Card and wallet details are entered on our payment providers' own secure forms. We never see or store your card number.
- When you sign up for emails or enter your email address in the app: your email address, which we may use to send you news, offers and product updates.
- When you contact support: your email address, your message and anything you attach.
- When you use the forum: your email address, user name, profile picture, posts and any images you upload.
- When you join the affiliate programme: your name, company, address, payment account and tax details.
- When you invite a friend: your email address and your friend's email address.
Information the website collects automatically
- Server logs: like most websites, our servers record your IP address, the pages you request, the page you came from and your browser type.
- Cookies: we use cookies to keep your visit working, to remember your language and to record which affiliate or campaign referred you (the referral cookie lasts up to six months).
- Download statistics: when you download the app we record your country, language and how you found us. Your IP address is stored only in a scrambled form.
- Analytics and embedded content: we may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. Some pages include content from other companies, such as YouTube videos, web fonts and our online user guide. Those companies may receive your IP address and set their own cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as the checkout, may not work without them.
Information the desktop app sends us
Poker Copilot and SharkScope Desktop may send the following to our servers:
- Licence and update checks: your user name, licence, app version, operating system, language and IP address. These checks are needed for the app to run.
- Usage and performance statistics: details such as the size of your poker database, the number of hands, your computer's memory, disk and processor type, which poker sites and features you use, and where the app's files are stored on your computer.
- Unsupported poker software: when the app sees a poker window it does not recognise, it may send us that window's title so we can add support for it.
- Crash and issue reports: when you choose to send one, the report includes the app's log files, settings and technical details of your computer, and the email address you give us. Issue reports also list the programs running on your computer.
- Hand and error reports: when the app finds a poker hand it cannot read or that does not add up, it may send that hand history to us so we can fix the problem.
- Global Comparison: if you turn it on, anonymous statistics about your play.
Hand histories include the screen names of the other players at your table. We use them only to find and fix problems, and we do not use them to build profiles of those players.
You can turn off automatic hand and error reports in the app's Preferences. Licence and update checks cannot be turned off. Features that use SharkScope, such as opponent look-ups and SharkScope Desktop's own services, send information to SharkScope, and SharkScope's privacy policy applies to that information.
How we use your information
- To process orders, deliver and check licences, and prevent fraud and misuse.
- To answer support requests and help you with problems.
- To find and fix faults, and to decide which poker sites, languages and features to support.
- To pay affiliates and run the forum.
- To send you emails about your order, important changes, and news and offers. You can unsubscribe from news and offers at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run Poker Copilot, and only as much as they need:
- payment providers, including Braintree (PayPal), Skrill, NowPayments and FastSpring;
- hosting and email providers, including Amazon Web Services, Google and Brevo;
- our support and team tools, which may use AI services to sort and translate support messages;
- SharkScope, which provides SharkScope Desktop and shares support systems with us;
- the providers of our online user guide and website analytics.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or our customers. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Our servers and providers may be in the United States or other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. For example, we keep purchase records for as long as your licence and our accounting obligations need them. Licence check records are normally deleted after about six months, and crash and issue reports after about nine months.
How we protect it
Your information is held on secured systems that only a small number of authorised people can access, and they are required to keep it confidential. Payments are handled by our payment providers over encrypted connections.

- You can turn off automatic hand and error reports in the app's Preferences.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@pokercopilot.com. We may need to keep some records, such as purchase records, where the law requires it.

Our website and app may link to other websites, including poker sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
