How do I install PokerZebra?
Download it, unzip it (your browser might do this for you automatically), and you should have the full PokerZebra app ready to run in your Downloads folders. You can move the app to your Applications folder if you like.
How does it work?
PokerZebra iterates over every possible deck of cards and counts up how many times your hand would win and lose. This is quick when the number of unknown cards is low (for example, when only the river is unknown). Preflop against a random hand, this will take a lot longer. Therefore PokerZebra iterates over each possible deck in a completely randomized order and shows you the onoing results while it calculates. This ensures that even a partial calculation is likely to be very accurate. If you stop the calculation early, you've effectively performed a "monte carlo" simulation, which is a powerful computer-aided tool for calculating probabilities.
