Mac Poker Rooms

Want to play poker on a Mac? Here are the poker rooms available. (Info out of date? Found an error? Please tell us at support@pokercopilot.com so that we can keep this list accurate)

Winamax Poker

  • Visit Winamax Poker to download Winamax Poker for OS X
  • The most popular poker room in France.
  • Our favourite OS X software – it is excellent.
  • Does NOT allow U.S. players.

PokerStars

  • Visit PokerStars to download PokerStars for OS X
  • By far the biggest online poker room.
  • PokerStars’ OS X software is excellent and full featured.
  • Allows US players only if physically present in the state of New Jersey.

Skins include:

  • PokerStars
  • PokerStarsBE (Belgium)
  • PokerStarsBG (Bulgaria)
  • PokerStarsDESH (German state of Schleswig-Holstein)
  • PokerStarsDK (Denmark)
  • PokerStarsEE (Estonia)
  • PokerStarsES (Spain)
  • PokerStarsEU (Many EU countries)
  • PokerStarsFR (France)
  • PokerStarsGR (Greece)
  • PokerStarsIT (Italy)
  • PokerStarsUSNJ (US state of New Jersey)
  • PokerStarsRO (Romania)
  • PokerStarsUK (United Kingdom)

PokerStars also has the skin "Full Tilt Poker", but there is little to recommend this, compared to using PokerStars' own brand software.

Winning Poker Network

Winning Poker Network brought their flagship poker room "America's Cardroom" to Mac in October 2015. Despite some technical early problems, America's Cardroom seems to be gaining popularity quickly. This is probably because they accept US players, have regular "guaranteed" tournaments, and are promoting themsleves strongly.

  • Accepts US players

Currently only one Winning Poker Network skin is available on Mac:

888poker Network

  • Allows US players only if physically present in the state of New Jersey.
  • Decent, reliable software strongly in second place worldwide.
  • 888poker
  • 888poker.es (Spain)
  • 888poker.nj (New Jersey)
  • 888poker.ro (Romania)
  • Tower Torneos

PartyPoker (aka bwin.party) Network

PartyPoker has been actively improving their Mac software and getting stronger. At this stage, we'd recommend PartyPoker.

  • Does NOT allow U.S. players.
  • partypoker
  • BorgataPoker
  • nj.partypoker
  • GD Poker (gioco digitale)
  • PMU Poker
  • bwinPoker

Merge Network

  • Accepts US players, but I believe they are no longer accepting new US player signups

Merge Network is a low traffic site that has been slipping in popularity over recent years. If you are new to online poker, Merge Network is of little interest to you.

  • Carbon Poker
  • Players Only
  • Sportsbook Poker
  • Odds Poker
